Blogging Streak has Ended.

Today I figured out there’s a difference between liking something and writing about something. So I think this is the end of my blogging streak for a while. I have multiple social media accounts and need to get another job to pay off student loans. Thanks for all of those who supported. What I learned this Sunday:

Sunday I learned the importance of letting your body heal. I  attended a mega fit event with high-intensity training. There were three things wrong with that. I didn’t get any sleep, and I just started back working out. The third one is coming up right after this. So sleep is good, I stayed up watching this new app called periscope, and I saw a spider, the recipe for insomnia for me. The third thing that happened is that the day before, I tried to walk my brothers dog in the rain. Instead, I ran with him, and he ( the dog, my nephew) caught a scent then dragged me along the ground. So that was one sign to say no to my cousin’s invitation to the event. My cousin is a   Zumba instructor and a Herbalife seller, but I just went to work out ( I’m not a fan of Herbalife).  It was 80 degrees and humid, and there was no shade. I started off great, and then we got to the squat holds and it was horrible. My legs were burning, I couldn’t walk, and my chest was pounding.  By the next day, my leg that got dragged was stiff.
Letting your body heal, getting enough sleep, and working out at too fast of a pace can be bad. Taking your time, getting used to it, and taking a day off when needed is the best.

Fruit and its affects on Blood Sugar

I eat a ton of whole fruit ( apples, oranges,etc.). Whole fruits because it’s healthy, sweet and full of protein.  There’s  nothing wrong with eating fruit as a diabetic, but eating a ton is a bad idea.
Why? It’s all about the carbs. In fact, carbs affect blood sugar, more than sugar itself, and serving size is important.
Have you ever heard of something that has a small amount of sugar. Well in reality the carbohydrates within that product could cause it to have more sugar than it says. In fact, carbohydrates turn into sugar.
Carbohydrates are an important thing to learn about for anyone. But, it is very important for those with type 2 diabetes.

Check Out What Diet Soda Does to Your Body and Teeth

Last year I’d gone to the dentist for a root canal, and he told me that it was better to drink sugared drinks, especially soda, in one setting. Why?  Sugar does more damage to your teeth if you save one drink, and drink it throughout the day.
Well, I thought to myself I drank diet coke, it’s healthy, and there’s no sugar. So I’ll be fine
What I didn’t know, was that it is bad for both.

Teeth:
Studies have shown that diet soda can be bad for your teeth and your body. The Huffington post stated that drinking diet soda has the same effect on your teeth as using crystal meth and cocaine.

Health:
Studies have shown that also has the same effects as sugared sodas.

What happens?
The body mistakes the artificial sugar for a real calorie and  is stored as fat. So it’s not diet at all.

My alternative:
Water is probably your best bet.  After all, 60% of our bodies are made up of water.

One of the things I do the most is follow  tons of fitness accounts  on Instagram because I want to get better. The only thing holding me back was the school work. Now that I have passed my classes I can work on getting a job, sleeping better, and getting healthier

I’m Ready!

I’m back and ready to write. I’ve been focused on school, but now I’m here to tell update you on what you’ve missed and what things I can learn to help you. The only problem is, I have no idea what to write about I’m still trying to figure that out, after all of these years.

Do you feel like giving up?

Oprah Winfrey said, “turn your wounds into wisdom.”Rosa Parks said, “the only tired I was, was tired of giving in. “Muhammad Ali said “he who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”

I never knew Oprah had an anxiety problem. I never knew rosa parks was only being portrayed as shy. I never knew that Cassius Clay would go on to become Muhammad Ali.
I would have never known if I didn’t set goals.

Goals not to give up on myself when everything was going down hill.

Goals to round myself about any and every topic.

Goals to live and create success for myself.

I don’t believe there is luck. I only believe  there is success. Dreams are only dreams unless you set goals.

Actually, It’s very interesting. As individuals, we contemplate on the outcome, before we even try.
We give up on our abilities just because we are constantly comparing ourselves.
We all have a different path. And sometimes, our hardest paths bring us the greatest success.

So what’s my takeaway?

Set goals. Setting goals make it much easier to reach your goals. One way to do this is write out your goals on a piece of paper. In fact,  a 2014 Forbes article gives you four  steps regarding this very topic. So, check out these steps and make something happen!

Two Easy Resources for Tackling Student Debts.

Resources To Figure Out How You’re Going To Pay Off You Debt:
I’ve been reading a book recently called I Can Teach You How To Be Rich. It gives you all these lovely ways to save money , handle debt and manage credit cards for super awesome credit scores.
One thing that affects me directly are student loan debt. I don’t know what my debt is. In the section of this book it gives you a link to an financial calculator to figure out how to take on your payment plan.
1. Find how much you owe:
I did a quick google search and found that the Financial Aid Site actually has a spread sheet of the amount of debt you owe that is downloadable. This shows you how much you may have to pay and how much the interest may be based on your financial information.
So, as of 05/05/2014 I owe the government around 30,000 dollars in student loans.

2. Estimate how much you have to pay back:
They have this financial estimation calculator specifically for student loans. It shows you what you need to pay back based on your loan/debt ,marital status and income. If you don’t know anything about your loan except for what loan you have, they allow you to choose the option to do the estimation using the average that each student may owe under that loan plan.
So I have the Direct  Un-Subsidized Loan. I would choose that and what type of college I go to.
Direct Subsidized Loan , 4-Year Public College/University
This would bring me to owe:
$26,946 which is very close but a little bit behind given the $25 dollar tuition increase at my institution. My interest would be 3.9%

Given all of the other information I provided, this is what if would turn out to be under the standard plan for my debt type:

* In his book , I Can Teach You How To Be Rich, Ramit Sethi says that paying 100 dollars more than what you are estimated to pay can lower interest and the amount of time you have to pay.

So For Me I would have to pay $372 dollars a month to lower interest that would build up over the 10 year repayment plan.
